I DON’T WANT YOU AW24 BTS

"I don't want you" is the core of BÉHEN, hand in hand with its Ribatejo roots. It's a contradiction to the narrative of previous collections, developed based on wanting, maybe, wait for me. But also a continuation, as it is a direct and unequivocal communication of a will. A no with as much strength as a yes.

The name originates from an old bag, of uncertain origin, carefully cross-stitched and hand-adorned. So much time, so much care, to say "I don't want you". An unusual piece that sparked curiosity and affirms an attitude advocated by the brand: I don't want you now. Tomorrow we'll see.

BÉHEN presents its FW24/25 collection in the form of a curious, careful rejection, crafted into clothing pieces, developed and perfected over four years. This builds the core of the brand, revealing itself in the fit of the pieces and time as the protagonist: through techniques that are part of the DNA like Madeira Embroidery and Viana Embroidery with beads. Being a collection marked by a return home, the embroideries also came closer, adding Glória do Ribatejo Embroidery to the national portfolio of techniques already worked by BÉHEN. The Ribatejo roots extended to Minde to weave regional blankets made of cotton and to São Vicente do Paúl for crochet socks from traditional folklore costumes, also made of cotton.

To the team at the Lisbon atelier, the work of YKK Portugal, Troficolor, Fabrics4Fashion, ELAV, and Calçado Penha is sewn together.

Special thanks to the Rancho Folclórico da Casa do Povo de Glória do Ribatejo Association for opening their doors to us and sharing so much about the technique and traditions of Glória.
